Located within an hour of Central London, we’re one of the UK's largest, most versatile studios - offering both premium interior facilities and a vast exterior backlot to support productions of any scale.

With easy access via the M25, M1 and M40, our 100-acre site includes 100,000+ sq ft of soundstages, 60 acres of multisurface backlot (with set-build planning permission for hardstanding), 12 workshops, three runways, a spacious production pad and abundant parking for crew and unit basing.

Some of our productions include The Conjuring: Last Rites, Warfare, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Deadpool & Wolverine, Masters of the Air, Spectre, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, several Fast & Furious films, and 1917.

Our commitment to sustainability

Conscious of making an impact both on and off screen, one of our core values is sustainability - which influences every aspect of the studio's design and development.

The stages are ergonomically designed with an Energy Performance Certificate Rating of A, powered entirely by renewable energy sources from Good Energy, and equipped to support the use of Solar PV.

We are also taking steps to enhance and protect the site's natural environment through a biodiversity focused landscape plan, designed to encourage native species and create a more resilient ecosystem. These efforts sit alongside our energy strategy and commitment to meeting current environmental standards.

In addition, Bovingdon Airfield Studios is actively pursuing the Albert Studio Sustainability Standard, helping us and our clients reduce emissions and work towards Net Zero.

Meet Our Team

Harvey Mash

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Harvey is the fifth generation member of the family that owns Bovingdon Airfield Studios and surrounding farmland. He is engaging, highly focused, responsible for strategic overview and has ambitious plans for the studio complex.

Kirstie Evans

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Passionate about her client focused role, Kirstie brings to the team her wealth of Event, TV & Film industry experience. Whilst overseeing and implementing the Operation & Management Systems alongside assisting the development of Bovingdon Airfield Studios, she brings her versatility and vibrant energy to deliver the highest level of Customer Service.

Jo Lawlor

STUDIO SALES & MARKETING MANAGER

Jo brings over 15 years of expertise in film and TV client liaison to our team, where she's poised to leverage our sites vast potential and drive forward our ambitious expansion plans. She’s focused on the individual needs of every production that comes here, ensuring they find exactly the right match for their filming requirements.

Jordan Woodley

FACILITIES TECHNICIAN

Jordans methodical and calm approach, along with his positive outlook and practical skills demonstrate his aptitude for undertaking his role as our Facilities Technician. His previous experience enables the smooth operation of the site whilst adding to the level of customer care and service provided at Bovingdon Airfield Studios.

Lloyd Kissiedu

LEAD SECURITY OFFICER

Lloyd has been a chief member of the Bovingdon Airfield Studios Security Team for over 4 years. His welcoming and friendly manner along with his industry experience and keen attention to detail assist the Studio in being an enjoyable, secure and well organised place of work.

Rosie Conibear

FINANCE DEPARTMENT

Heading up the Finance department since 2021, Rosie’s experience and continual progression has been at the core of development of Bovingdon Airfield Studios. Rosie’s dedication and meticulous work ensure the team are focused and kept in check with regards to all studio finance requirements.

Glyn Osborne

NIGHT SECURITY OFFICER

Glyn worked at Elstree Studios and the BBC before joining Bovingdon Airfield Studios. He works closely alongside Lloyd to provide night security, ensuring everyone is safe and secure on site throughout the evenings and overnight. Friendly, approachable and dependable, Glyn brings flexibility and strong teamwork to every shift.

Sarah Bradbury

MARKETING

Sarah brings over 20 years’ experience in marketing and operations, with particular strengths in strategy, messaging, content, email and campaign delivery. She leads our marketing activity alongside Jo, combining strategic insight and creativity to strengthen our reach and firmly position the studio on the UK film and TV roadmap.

Gary Cullum

PR

Gary brings decades of deep experience in journalism, publishing, media and PR, with highly established editorial expertise and an extensive local and national network. He leads in all these areas for the studio, helping us strengthen our profile and share our story with the widest possible audience.

Our Vision

Bovingdon Airfield Studios has been a valued location for filmmakers since the 1960s, and has evolved into a premier full-scale filming studio and complex. Guided by our ambitious master plan, we have completed Phase One and are making fast progress with Phase Two. This project will deliver state-of-the-art, flexible and sustainable facilities, designed to meet the highest standards in filmmaking.
